Class Action Lawsuit Over BF1943

You may remember at E3 when EA promised BF1943 to those PS3 players who pre-ordered Battlefield 3. You may also remember last month when EA announced on Twitter that the promised offer would no longer happen. Gamers were frustrated with EA's decision, but the offer took place in lieu of PS3 customers getting Battlefield 3 DLC one week early. This one week early PS3 exclusive will also be valid with the Back to Karkand expansion pack.
Gamers were happy when finding about the exclusivity, but the Edelson McGuire law firm is calling out EA on it's misleading claims. They allege that EA "misled and profited from thousands of their customers by making a promise that they could not, and never intended, to keep." One other point that has enraged Battlefield 3 gamers is that EA's announcement took place on the 25th, after the game had already been released. The announcement being late was also poorly announced, a simple Twitter message instead of a more formal, global email. It will be interesting to see how this class action lawsuit unfolds and how it will affect Battlefield 3.
