EA recently released three new screenshots of the up and coming Back to Karkand expansion pack that's set for a December release. The screenshots feature the Strike at Karkand map (near the bridge base if you're familiar with BF2). Don't forget to check out the BF2 to BF3 comparison screenshots either.

Gamespot also got some exclusive footage of Strike at Karkand and Gulf of Oman gameplay.

We've been hearing a lot about the new Battlefield 3 game mode, "Conquest Assault." But what is this game mode? Simply put: conquest assault involves two teams just like normal conquest mode, but in conquest assault one team starts out with a majority or all of the flags. If you've played Battlefield 2142 you'll be familiar with this new Battlefield 3 mode.
